Bigwigs merge to address 5G Connectivity Lighting Solution

Signify is all set to join hands with the Ericsson’s 5G Radio Dot, a joint offering, to enable service providers for easily adding the indoor connectivity to buildings when there is any upgrade in the lighting systems.

After the successful deployment of the connected outdoor lighting pole small cell solution, Lightpole Site Slim, a duo project of Signify and Ericsson, the bigwigs decided to step ahead with the new concept of the 5G Connectivity Lighting Solution.

The new luminaire light fixture features an embedded Ericsson Radio Dot, and will deliver not only light, but also 5G connectivity inside buildings. Ericsson’s indoor small cell solution, 5G Radio Dot, is embedded into Signify’s lighting systems to deliver 5G indoors.
