Global Distribution Summit witness 2016 Electronic Distributor Awards by TE Connectivity

TE Connectivity, a world leader in connectivity and sensors, presented its 2016 Electronic Distributor Awards during its recent Global Distribution Summit in San Francisco, California. The annual awards recognize TE’s highest-performing distribution partners based on sales growth, market share growth, customer growth and business plan performance. TE presented the 2016 Electronic Global Distributor of the Year awards to Future Electronics and to Mouser Electronics,  in the Broadline and Catalog (High Service) distributor categories, respectively.

“We are excited to recognize these two outstanding partners and their ongoing commitment to TE,” said Joan Wainwright, president, Channel and Customer Experience, TE Connectivity. “Future achieved impressive POS growth and exceeded their global business plan. For the fourth year in a row, Mouser won TE’s Global Catalog Distributor of the Year award by growing their global customer count by 12 percent and continuing their impressive record of 8 consecutive years of growth. I am proud of the relationship TE has with these partners and applaud them for their success in 2016.”

“Being recognized as Global Broadline Distributor of the Year by such a strategic partner as TE is a great honor,” said Jack Voelmle corporate vice president, global interconnect sales, Future Electronics. “This award is an indicator of the success of Future Electronics’ interconnect program. Our industry leading technical team, the interconnect business development managers (IBDMs), along with Future’s high service and supply chain programs have proven to be a great way for customers to access TE’s wide range of innovative products and product information.”

“Receiving the Global High Service Distributor award is an incredible honor,” said Glenn Smith, Mouser Electronics president and CEO. “We’d like to thank TE for this important recognition. Our relationship continues to grow, and these awards are a tribute to our teams’ hard work. TE is an industry leader and a valued business partner, and we look forward to continued success together”.

TE also presented regional awards to distribution partners who excelled in sales performance and localized program success. Winners of the regional awards were: AIS GMBH in EMEA; Arrow Electronics in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan); TTI, in the Americas; and NDK in Japan.
