    24. International Workshop on Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Super-resolution Microscopy in the Life Sciences

The 24. international workshop on “single molecule spectroscopy and super-resolution microscopy in the life sciences” is held by PicoQuant from September 12 – 14, 2018 in Berlin, Germany. Researchers from various scientific fields such as Life Sciences, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry will meet at this three-day event to report on and share the latest developments in ultrasensitive optical detection down to the single molecule level.

The scientific program encompasses a series of presentations as well as a poster session with topics ranging from using adaptive optics for fluorescence correlation spectroscopy to recent developments in SPAD arrays for quantitative microscopy. Informal gatherings during breaks as well as at the welcoming reception and conference dinner will give ample opportunities for networking and exchange of ideas. This years invited speakers include Jiji Chen (National Institute of Biomedical Imaging & Bioengineering, USA), Christian Eggeling (University of Oxford, UK), Maria Garcia-Parajo (Institute of Photonic Sciences, Spain), Suliana Manley (EPFL, Switzerland), Johan Paulsson (Harvard University, USA), Nicolas Plachta (A*STAR, Singapore), Jérome Wenger (Institut Fresnel, France), and Jerker Widengren (Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden).

To encourage and support young scientists, PicoQuant will award the best talk from an undergraduate or graduate student with a prize worth 750 Euro. Interested in joining the workshop to hold a talk or present a poster? Then submit your contribution until May 31, 2018.
