Latest Sensor module measures tVOC, CO2eq, RH/T on Single Board

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the SVM30 multi-gas, humidity, and temperature module from Sensirion. Featuring Sensirion’s CMOSens intelligent microsensor technology, the SVM30 is optimized for easy design-in and sensing performance in air purifiers, HVAC, smart home systems, and other indoor air quality applications.

The Sensirion SVM30 sensor module, available from Mouser Electronics, offers accurate and stable monitoring of indoor total volatile organic compounds (tVOC), CO2 equivalent (CO2eq) concentration, temperature, and humidity. The module contains an SGP30 multi-pixel gas sensor with multiple metal-oxide sensing elements as well as an SHTC1 humidity and temperature sensor. The complete sensor system integrates the sensing elements, analog and digital signal processing, analog-to-digital converter (ADC), calibration and data memory as well as a digital communication interface supporting the I2C standard mode.

The SGP30 sensing element features exceptional robustness against contamination by siloxanes present in real-world applications, enabling long-term stability and low drift. The SHTC1 humidity and temperature sensor covers a humidity measurement range of 0 to 100 percent relative humidity (RH) and a temperature measurement range of minus 20 to 85 degrees Celsius with a typical accuracy of ±5 percent RH and ±1 degree Celsius.

Mouser is also stocking the SEK-SVM30 evaluation kit, which features plug-and-play hardware with user-friendly viewer software to give an in-depth evaluation of the SVM30 module. The kit includes all necessary connector cables and various sensor samples, plus a Sensirion SensorBridge with two independent I2C channels for simultaneous evaluation of two environmental sensor samples.
