New eBook from Mouser Electronics and Texas Instruments Surveys Next Generation of Robotics

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader empowering innovation, announces a new eBook in collaboration with Texas Instruments (TI), examining best practices and strategies for developing the next generation of robot solutions. In The Future of Robotics, subject matter experts from TI and Mouser offer a collection of articles exploring relevant topics such as autonomous robotics, sensor fusion, and communications standards for sensors in robotics.

As robots are being employed in an ever-expanding range of industries and applications, engineers are tasked with making these solutions safer, smarter, more autonomous, and more efficient. These goals are achieved through improvements in motor control, sensing solutions, communication, and edge processing. The new eBook presents several analyses of the tools and technologies necessary for next-generation robot solutions, including mmWave sensors, power supply devices, and processors and drivers.

In addition to fascinating articles, The Future of Robotics includes links to several TI products for the development of modern robotics, including sensors, processors, and evaluation tools. The IWR6843ISK-ODS mmWave sensor evaluation module permits direct data connectivity to the mmWave sensor’s carrier card platform, allowing access to point-cloud data through a USB interface. The evaluation module also supports raw analog-to-digital converter (ADC) data through a 60-pin high-speed interface.

The LMG341xR150 GaN FET improves power density and efficiency in power electronics systems. Featuring ultra-low input and output capacitance, the LMG341xR150 allows designers to use dense and efficient topologies such as totem-pole PFC. The PGA460 and PGA460-Q1 ultrasonic processors/drivers present a highly integrated solution for ultrasonic sensing, supporting presence and proximity detection, object distance and position sensing, occupancy and motion sensing, drone landing assist, and obstacle detection applications.

Mouser is an authorized global distributor of Texas Instruments solutions. With over 50,000 TI products, including 4,500 development kits, Mouser offers the broadest portfolio of the newest Texas Instruments semiconductor solutions, adding new products every day.
