Electrolube sets up new manufacturing facility in China

Electrolube, the global electro-chemicals specialist, welcomed visitors to a grand opening of its new 8,800-square-metre manufacturing facility in Zhuji, in the Zhejiang province of China, on the 23rd August. Many guests including leaders of local Government, clients and distributors attended the special occasion to celebrate the growing success of Electrolube in China. Key speeches were given by the Group Managing Director, Ron Jakeman, the newly appointed CEO and Vice President of HK Wentworth’s Asia operation, Sharon Zhang, and one of Electrolube’s long-standing distributors.

HK Wentworth’s Asian operation has now moved from its former Beijing-based manufacturing facility, where it has been situated since 2002, to the new state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Zhuji. The extensive relocation comes as a result of the company’s phenomenal growth in China over the past 17 years. In line with HK Wentworth’s strategic objectives to take Electrolube China to the next level of growth and development, the new factory houses 5 floors and provides enormous capacity to expand the manufacturing capability of Electrolube products, which include Conformal Coatings, Thermal Management Materials, Encapsulation Resins, Contact Lubricants, Cleaning Solutions and Service and Maintenance Aids.

Group Managing Director, Ron Jakeman, comments: “The relocation of our manufacturing operation to Zhuji is the culmination of an exciting year for us as the company continues to go from strength to strength. This is a very dynamic time for Electrolube and the move forms part of our strategic plan to drive the organisation forward and build on Electrolube’s thriving reputation in the Asian electronics industry.”

Sharon Zhang, CEO and Vice president of Electrolube China, adds, “We are all very excited to start this new part of the journey to support our customer base in Asia from our new world-class manufacturing facility. The new manufacturing facility in Zhuji combined with our extensive R&D facility in Suzhou represents a real coup for Electrolube China and we will continue to support the local domestic market as well as export Electrolube products all over the world.”
