gINT Civil Tools allows users to display borehole stems in 3D

Geotechnical workflows extend beyond logs and reports with new civil design interoperability

Bentley Systems is announcing gINT Civil Tools, new capabilities for the gINT products gINT Pro and gINT Pro Plus. These capabilities will allow organizations to incorporate geotechnical data into civil design workflows. This product’s key capabilities include:

    • Incorporate gINT databases into engineering workflows with 2D mapping data, 3D geotechnical data, and 2D profile views
    • Display borehole stems in 3D and combine with other data
    • Manage subsurface data with data management tools for data acquisition, validation, queries, reporting, and data sharing
    • Create and visualize virtually any type of subsurface geotechnical report

“The integration of gINT with Bentley’s civil design products allows geologists, geotechnical engineers, and civil engineers to easily exchange structured, intelligent information in a managed environment, which results in enhanced workflows and coordination of subsurface assets across disciplines and geographies,” stated Bob Mankowski, Bentley’s vice president of Simulation Product Management.

gINT Civil Tools is fully integrated with OpenRoads and allows users to work with a gINT database (MS Access or SQL server) to query and display the geotechnical data. Users can generate surfaces from borehole data as well as display and label boreholes properties and values. gINT Civil Tools increases productivity and data quality with data integration and information sharing between geologists, geotechnical engineers, and civil engineers. The result is streamlined processes for subsurface reporting of field explorations, lab testing, and more.
