KPIT joins German consortium Industrie-Gemeinschaft Aerosole

KPIT Technologies, a global technology company specializing in IT consulting and product engineering, announced becoming the first System Integrator (SI) in the aerosol industry to earn the membership of the Industrie-Gemeinschaft Aerosole e.V. (IGA) [Industrial Community Aerosol] consortium in Germany. The membership demonstrates KPIT’s unparalleled expertise in technologies such as MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and Analytics for the aerosol industry.

KPIT combines extensive manufacturing industry experience with expertise in engineering and digital technologies to help clients in their journey towards excellence in manufacturing, from product design, production and supply chain, to process efficiency and regulatory compliance. KPIT offers services, solutions, and pre-packaged accelerators across these key areas – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Smart Manufacturing, Connected Products, Asset Management, and Supply Chain Optimization.

KPIT was selected for successfully implementing a technology solution for a large global packaging company in the aerosol industry, which is also a member of the consortium. It provided the customer with Manufacturing Execution System solution to enable real-time shop floor visibility and automate reporting. The project work included integration with upstream business systems and enabling data management capabilities.

Probodh Chiplunkar, Head of Digital Business at KPIT said, “We are delighted to become part of the IGA forum. KPIT brings scalable digital solutions to help our customers in the aerosol industry modernize, innovate, and transform their business. From Industry 4.0 solutions using Automation, Simulation, and Connected & Smart Manufacturing capabilities to using digital technologies such as Cognitive, AI, ML, AR & VR, and Analytics integrated with enterprise systems, we positively impact the manufacturing value chain for our clients and help them build new business models.”

KPIT is also participating at the FEA Global Aerosol Events 2018 scheduled from October 4-5 in Düsseldorf, Germany, where it will showcase its solutions in MES. The annual forum focuses on promoting the aerosol business in Europe’s second-biggest aerosol producing country.
