NetApp Named a Leader in 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays

NetApp announced that it has been recognized as a Leader in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays, for the third year in a row, based on its ability to execute and its completeness of vision. Additionally, the company improved its position compared to the previous year.

“We believe that our position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant validates our clarity of vision and recognizes NetApp’s ability to offer superior support to customers as they modernize their IT architecture with cloud-connected flash,” said Octavian Tanase, Senior Vice President, ONTAP, NetApp. “We’re confident that we will continue to lead by empowering customers to transform their business with the industry’s leading flash solutions, designed to scale from edge to core to cloud”, he added.

A Gartner Magic Quadrant is the culmination of research in a specific market, providing readers with a wide-angle view of the relative position of the market’s offerings. By applying a graphical treatment and a uniform set of evaluation criteria, Gartner Magic Quadrants assess vendors on their ability to execute and the completeness of their vision.

The NetApp portfolio of cloud-connected, all-flash systems offers customers the performance, intelligence, and protection they need to modernize their IT architecture and drive digital transformation. The NetApp flash portfolio benefits customers with industry-leading applications performance, more efficient cloud-connected SAN, and integrated data protection across the hybrid cloud.
