New decentralised drive technology presented for the digital factory of the future

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS presents its decentralised and intelligent drive concepts for the first time at SPS IPC Drives 2018 from 27 to 29 November 2018. The Product highlights include the NORDAC LINK field distributor series and NORDAC FLEX as well as the efficient plug-and-play solution LogiDrive.

The decentralised drive components from NORD are freely configurable and can be flexibly adjusted to various applications. Their areas of application range from conveyor technology and intralogistics through applications in the packaging and food industry to pump applications. The NORDAC LINK field distributor series is available as a frequency inverter (up to 7.5 kW) and also as a motor starter (up to 3 kW).

The high plug-in capability translates into fast and easy installation of the units. Commissioning and servicing of the system is performed quickly with the integrated maintenance switch and the local manual control facility. The NORDAC FLEX inverter (up to 22 kW) is equipped with an integrated PLC and positioning control POSICON, just like the NORDAC LINK. The PLC integrated into the inverters can reduce the load on the higher level control and enables a modular automation concept.

Cost reduction through standardisation

In addition to intelligent networking in drive technology, special economical solutions are also often required which, for example, can be achieved through a reduced number of versions. With its LogiDrive systems, NORD also offers service and maintenance friendly plug & play technology. Yet another important component of drive technology.

Configure your drive technology online

In the customer portal my NORD customers can configure their required drive solution from NORD’s standard product portfolio on their own: simply, conveniently and quickly. Due to the clear interface, explicit structure and intuitive navigation, the platform is highly user-friendly. Offers are generated directly and the current order and delivery status can be tracked at all times.

New Product: Service with APP

With the NORDCON APP and the corresponding Bluetooth stick “NORDAC ACCESS BT”, the company created a mobile commissioning and service solution for all NORD drives. The dashboard-based visualisation is useful for drive monitoring and fault diagnosis. Parametrisation of drives is easily feasible with a Help function and rapid access to parameters. The app also offers other convenient functions such as backup, recovery and oscilloscope.
