NORD DRIVESYSTEMS at the Hannover Fair 2018

From 23 to 27 April 2018 NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will be exhibiting its innovative drive solutions for digital factories of the future at the Hannover Fair 2018. These include NORDAC LINK decentralised field distributors, smart drives with Cloud links for predictive maintenance, as well as LogiDrive – the efficient drive solution for intralogistics that offers a reduction of the number of versions. A PROFIsafe interface module ensures even greater safety in production.

The Hannover Fair is the world’s leading industrial exhibition. Under the motto “Get new technology first”, this year more than 5000 exhibitors are presenting their innovations, including the North German drive manufacturer NORD DRIVESYSTEMS, who will be presenting its smart solutions in Hall 15 on Stand H31. The company will also be displaying its latest technologies for the logistics industry at the CeMAT exhibition in Hall 21 on Stand C33.

The components which will be exhibited include the NORDAC LINK series field distributor for applications in modern, networked intralogistics systems. This drive control for flexible close-to-the-motor installation is available as a frequency inverter (up to 7.5 kW) or a motor starter (up to 3 kW) and enables rapid commissioning, simple operation and maintenance. Thanks to an integrated PLC and compatibility with all common bus systems, the freely configurable field distributor can be easily integrated into all modern automation systems.

Networked NORD drive units communicate their status data via the control system or directly into a secure Cloud communication. Among other things, this enables predictive maintenance – from conveyor drives up to industrial gear units. Recording of the performance data also enables optimal dimensioning of the system as well as continuous condition monitoring of the drives. With this, NORD supplies intelligent drive technology for digitalised production in Industry 4.0. With the example of an industrial gear unit application, the company demonstrates possible predictive maintenance solutions especially for this group of products.

In addition to intelligent networking in drive technology, and particularly in intralogistics, special economical solutions are also often required which for example can achieve savings through a reduced number of versions. With its LogiDrive systems, NORD provides efficient and maintenance-friendly plug&play technology. This consists of standardised versions with IE4 geared motors at rated powers of up to 5.5 kW, a two-stage helical bevel gear unit and a frequency inverter – a combination that ensures optimisation of processes and costs.

A further important element in modern production is the functional safety of plant and machinery. With the SK TU4-PNS PROFIsafe interface module, NORD provides even greater safety. The optional module meets the most stringent safety requirements, enables flexible integration of various safety components and ensures secure communication in PROFINET environments.

You can find the intelligent drive solutions from NORD DRIVESYSTEMS at the Hannover Fair 2018 in Hall 15 on Stand H31 and at CeMAT in Hall 21 on Stand C33.
