OPTIGA Trust X Hardware Security Solution is in stock, offers robust security to diverse applications

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the OPTIGA Trust X security solution from Infineon Technologies. The turnkey, hardware-based solution provides robust security to a range of diverse applications, including Internet of Things (IoT), smart homes, medical devices, and drones.

Infineon OPTIGA Trust X, available from Mouser Electronics, is based on an advanced security controller built on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) NIST P256, AES128, and SHA-256, plus built-in tamper-proof nonvolatile memory to greatly enhance overall system security. As a turnkey solution, the OPTIGA Trust X comes with the operating system, embedded applications and complete host side integration support, reducing design, integration, and deployment efforts.

OPTIGA Trust X supports a high-speed I²C communication interface up to 1 MHz. Typical current consumption is 20 mA, which drops to 70 µA in sleep mode. Compliant with the USB Type-C authentication standard, the controller is available in both standard temperature range (minus 25 to 85 degrees Celsius) and extended temperature range (minus 40 to 105 degrees Celsius), in a compact 3mm × 3mm PG-USON-10-2 package.
