‘Renewable Company of the Year’ at MEED Awards 2019

Sterling and Wilson Solar Limited, the world’s largest solar EPC solutions provider, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Renewable Company of the Year’ in the GCC Region at the recently held MEED Awards 2019. In 2018, the Company won the ‘Specialist Contractor of the Year’ award at the same event. The Award aims to recognize business excellence among organizations contributing to the diversification of the non-oil sector in the GCC market.

Bikesh Ogra, Director and Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Solar Limited said, “We are delighted to be recognized by MEED for the second year in a row. The 2019 edition of MEED awards focused on acknowledging companies for their contributions towards development of people, sector diversification, advancement of society and sustainability. More than 250 nominations from organizations and individuals were submitted to the awards this year for consideration in 16 categories.

Sterling and Wilson Solar Limited has been executing projects globally and has to its credit 8.8 GWp of solar power projects in various geographies (commissioned and under construction), which includes 2.8 GWp in the Middle East market. With the global solar market poised to grow substantially in the years to come, Sterling and Wilson Solar Limited has positioned itself well to be at the forefront of this tremendous opportunity.
