Atmel Products now available in Microchip’s online store

Microchip Technology Inc., a leading provider of microcontroller, mixed-signal, analog and Flash-IP solutions, has announced that all former Atmel products are now available on microchipDIRECT, Microchip’s full service channel. For the first time, customers can purchase products such as AVR and SAM microcontrollers and development tools direct from the manufacturer.

“Ensuring microchipDIRECT offers the full range of Microchip products is a top priority,” said Mitch Little, vice president of global sales for Microchip. “We know our classic Microchip customers highly value microchipDIRECT and we are excited to extend this service to additional customers and our extended product lines.”

microchipDIRECT carries the largest available inventory of Microchip’s products. The service offers pricing for all volume levels, ability to schedule orders up to 12 months in advance, order tracking, buffer stock and many payment options including credit lines. In addition, it is the first manufacturer–to-customer website that allows customers to upload their custom code on a microcontroller or memory device. It also offers true global support in 10 languages.

“We built microchipDIRECT to be the most capable manufacturer website in the industry,” continued Little. “Its offering is unmatched in terms of inventory and complete 24/7 support.”
