Discovering new Jetstream Tooling to provide operational stability, application flexibility of coolant delivery

Coolant-through tooling components and connectors that interfere with grooving, parting off and other turning operations become a thing of the past with the new additions to JETI (Jetstream Integrated) tooling from Seco Tools. Expansions to the range of MDT (Multi-Directional Turning), X4 (grooving and parting off) and 150.10 (parting-off) tool holders offer interference-free internal coolant capabilities and the choice to switch the underside stream channel on and off as the application requires.

Jetstream Tooling provides operational stability, reliability and improved surface finishes as well as application flexibility and the productive convenience of coolant delivery without external hoses, fittings and spare parts that can diminish productivity and raise costs.

    Square-shanked MDT, X4 and 150.10 holders are available in 20 mm x 20 mm (0.787″ x 0.787″) and 25 mm x 25 mm (0.984″ x 0.984″) sizes. MDT holders accept inserts in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm (0.0787″, 0.118″, 0.157 “, 0.197″, 0.236″ and 0.315”). 105.10 holders accept 15-size blades.

For optimized machining, chip control and process reliability, Jetstream Tooling aims high-pressure coolant directly into the cutting zone through internal channels in the toolholder. Unlike other tool holders, Jetstream Tooling Duo provides upper and lower cooling channels with the ability to switch the underside stream channel on and off as needed. With coolant connections on the side and back of these holders, they also function on machines with conventional coolant supplies.
