Electrolube’s Indian Facilities & UV Cure Coating Win Best Innovation Awards

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions is proud to announce that Electrolube’s manufacturing facility in India has won the Most Innovative Company of the Year Award and Innovative Conformal Coating Product of the Year Award at the 7th EM Industry Awards.  UVCL UV cure coating, a VOC-free option, was selected by a panel of well-known SMT experts for its ultra-fast dry-time, environmental properties, low viscosity, ease of application, and versatility for a wide range of applications. Electrolube is the leading manufacturer of specialist chemicals for the electronics, automotive, industrial manufacturing industries, and much more.

The EM Industry Awards serve as benchmarks of excellence, recognizing industry leaders in technology, efficiency, environmental benefits, and quality for the surface mount assembly sector. The Awards, organized by Electronics Maker, were announced at an exclusive virtual award ceremony, held on 27th October 2021, where winning products were announced for their creativity, advanced nature, and contribution to helping the industry reduce cost, improve quality, increase efficiency, enhance reliability, ensure safety and protect the environment.

Electrolube’s 100% solids coating is one the most environmentally‐friendly conformal coating products available on the market. UVCL became an instant success after launching due to its versatility in different application processes and excellent resistance to common ‘thermal shock’ cycling, moisture vapour, salt-‐spray, solvent, and fluid exposure, and condensing environments.

UVCL meets IPC-CC-830 requirements and is UL94 V-0 rated. The coating is highly flexible and cures in seconds with conveyorized UV lamps or within 3 days at ambient temperatures and humidity to ensure cure even in shadowed areas. The single‐component, low‐viscosity UVCL provides a superior ‘sharp-edge’ coverage compared to some other materials utilizing a selective coating method.

Padmanabha Shakthivelu, General Manager of Electrolube India, said, “It was an honour to accept this award at such a well-respected event. We are delighted that our facility in Bangalore has been warmly recognized for its commitment to innovation and for our versatile UV cure coating, UVCL, to win Innovative Conformal Coating Product of the Year. Both awards recognise Electrolube’s dedication to the advancement of innovative and high-performance conformal coating and electro-‐chemical solutions for the electronics industry, developed with the utmost care to the environment and operator. “

Electrolube is proud to be part of MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, providers of cross-platform solutions for the circuitry, assembly, and semiconductor sectors of the electronics industry, at every step of the supply chain.  Please visit Electrolube’s website at www.electrolube.in for further information.
