element14 launches Vishay automotive multilayer ceramic capacitors

Vishay’s high-operating temperature radial-leaded Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors for automotive applications now available for fast delivery from element14

element14 has announced the first automotive grade new HOTcaps series of radial-leaded multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) from Vishay are now available to buy from element14.

Designed for the most extreme automotive operating conditions, the new series of leaded MLCCs from Vishay are designed to set a new standard for performance and reliability in automotive applications, with unmatched maximum operating temperature of +175°C for all available ceramic dielectrics.

The capacitors are AEC-Q200 compliant for the highest standard of quality and performance in automotive applications, including EMI filtering in various automotive functional areas such as exhaust gas and seat position sensors, cable harnesses, turbo charger, throttle valve, and brake system control.

The Vishay HOTCap offers:

  • AEC-Q200 qualified with PPAP available
  • High reliability MLCC insert with wet build process
  • Operating temperature range of -55°C to +175 °C
  • High capacitance with small size
  • Radial mounting style
  • Crimp and straight leadstyles
