RECOM extends its “Slim-shape” DIN-Rail series with a powerful 480W version, featuring a power boost mode capable of delivering 720W peak load capacity. The REDIN480 PSUs offer incredibly versatile space-savings, taking up only 71mm width in the DIN-Rail cabinet, and they are also equipped with a side-mounting system to offer a low profile in systems where installation depth is critical. Operating at an input voltage range from 85VAC to 264VAC, they are suitable for line voltages worldwide and deliver output voltages of 24VDC and 48VDC for a variety of industrial control equipment. Highly-reliable components, such as long-life electrolytic capacitors and high-grade ferrites, ensure high durability.
An efficiency of 93% means very little heat dissipation allowing the power supply to be operated at a wide ambient temperature range of -25°C to +70°C with normal air convection. The modules are equipped with a PFC circuit for a power factor >0.95 and allow n+1 parallel operation to provide redundancy or to increase the continuous output current. The modules have an integrated smart overload control limit and short-circuit protection circuitry and switch off to prevent permanent damage to the system if the maximum permissible temperature is exceeded. These new modules are certified to IEC/EN/UL60950 and UL508 Standard for Industrial Control Equipment and come with a 5-year warranty.
