    Highlights of LED Expo 2018: Future of Lighting – Smart Lighting

    The 19th edition of LED Expo 2018 showcased a positive shift with many companies focusing on smart and innovative LED technologies. The expo hosted 341 exhibitors and 10,257 visitors determined to source products that lead to a bright, energy efficient and smart future.

    Messe Frankfurt ended its event calendar with a successful 19th edition of LED Expo 2018 Greater Noida. Hosted at India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), the show hosted 341 exhibitors and attracted 10,257 business visitors, once again proving to be the country’s leading platform to source LED lights, components and other related products and technologies.

    The aisles from halls 1, 3, 5 & 7 were busy with curious business visitors focussing on gaining knowledge about the latest trends and sourcing technologies offered by top companies from the LED industry. Talking about the footfall and new technologies in the LED sector, Mr Gautam Malkani, MD, Fulham (India) Pvt Ltd said: “This has been our seventh year at the show and with a change in the venue, it was a pleasant surprise for us to see such a good footfall at our stall. For this edition, we have launched many new technologies like the fire escape lighting solution which will help ensure safe evacuations. We also have wireless drivers which can fit into streetlights encouraging the smart lighting revolution by the government. LED Expo has worked wonderfully for us and we would like to thank the organizers for the same.”

    The visitors seemed equally impressed with the display of solutions as the stalls were bustling with serious business meetings. Many business visitors generated leads which they were confident will get converted into long term business deals. Talking about the overall response received by the trade fair, Mohit Sharma, Global business Head (Lighting), Jaquar said: “We have been associated with Messe Frankfurt for many years and I have been attending LED Expo for the last four years. This platform has successfully attracted the consumers, vendors and also the end users like architects and consultants. Overall, it has been a nice experience.”

    This edition of the show saw interest in new verticals like app based lighting, mood lighting, deli controls and other automated products gaining popularity with the buyers and sellers alike. The country is ready for a shift with smart lighting storming the lighting markets and the recent edition successfully encouraged the progress of these technologies matching its pace with the growing awareness and demand. Opening gates to new opportunities, the next edition will take place from 9 to 11 May 2019.
