Nuvoton Technology Corp., a leading microcontroller provider, announces the NuMicro enhanced 1T 8051 based MS51 series microcontroller. NuMicro MS51 series provides flexible internal clock system adjustable from 10kHz to 24MHZ operating speed, 24mA high driving capability for each IO pin, high immunity such as 8kV ESD and 4.4kV EFT to ensure reliability even in harsh conditions. Operates at voltage range 2.5V~5.5V and -40°C ~ +105°C industrial temperature grade. This series offers a range of memory with 8/16/32KB Flash memory and 1/2KB SRAM, provides packages types from 10 to 32pins.
NuMicro MS51 series offers several enhanced features, such as up to 15 channels of 12-bit ADC and provides rich peripherals such as 2 sets of UART; up to 3 sets of ISO7816-3 interface; 1 set of I²C, 1 set of SPI, up to 12 channels of standalone PWM with independent timer where high solution is needed.
To protect customer’s intellectual property, the MS51 series provides several mechanisms, by using flash lock bit can prevent program from being read out by external programmer, 128 Bytes SPROM (Secure Protection ROM), 96-bit UID (Unique Identification), 128-bit UCID (Unique Customer Identification).
The NuMicro MS51 series provides large portfolio with its essential and effective peripherals, which is suitable for applications like LED lighting, stepper motors, power supplies…etc.
Development Tools
Nuvoton provides easy-to-use tools, Nu-Link, which supports advanced debug function, PinConfig for multi-function pin setting, PinView for showing pin status in real time, BSP driver and sample codes. The IDE supports Keil C-51 and IAR EW8051, which can debug, trace and analyze your program on the development board. NT‐MS51 evaluation board is available online now for 100% emulation and on‐board debugging.
