Latest UV Cure Coatings digs a hit at IPC APEX EXPO

Electrolube, the leading specialist manufacturer of high performance chemicals for electronics, automotive and industrial manufacturing industries, has announced a highly successful exhibition at IPC APEX, with impressive interest in the launch of their exciting new UVCL range of UV Cure conformal coatings, designed to offer the highest level of protection for electronic circuitry with an exceptionally fast processing time.

The main benefit of UVCL-P is that boards can be handled immediately with a guaranteed chemical cure in 6 hours thanks to the secondary cure mechanism. UVCL-P also has a higher maximum operating temperature of 150°C and meets the requirements of UL94V-0 at thicknesses below 150 microns.

The new UVCL UV cure coating range is a game changing range of conformal coating materials that are solvent-free, VOC-free and provide unsurpassed performance in harsh environments, including resistance to cracking during thermal shock cycling. The main benefit of Electrolube’s UV Plus and Xtra Cure coatings is that boards can be handled immediately, with full cure guaranteed within 6-24 hours due to the chemical secondary cure mechanism.

Further UV Cure coating products, were also launched at the show and include a brand new film coating product, UVCL-FC, which enables the application of even thinner coatings and faster curing line speeds.

Ron Jakeman, Electrolube’s Managing Director, comments, “The feedback we received from visitors was outstanding. Each of Electrolube’s new UVCL products impressed visitors for a number of different reasons, from high resistance to thermal shock and environmental benefits, to cost–saving and fast-drying properties: the products have really added a new dimension to the conventional UV Cure Coating and rapidly increase through-put and reduce costs for manufacturers. Our next generation UV range demonstrates real insight into solving issues for manufacturers, pulling together expert R&D from all of our technical specialists, located across the world, to be first to market with such a comprehensive toolkit of UV Cure coating solutions. It has already been a very productive year for Electrolube, and the success of APEX is another sign that our development plan in the USA is on track.”
