Mouser Electronics and Terabee Sign Global Distribution Agreement

Mouser Electronics the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader empowering innovation, announces a global distribution agreement with Terabee, designers of small, high-performance distance sensors for drone, robotics and IoT applications. Through the agreement, Mouser is now shipping a variety of Terabee’s TeraRanger sensors.

The TeraRanger Evo distance sensors measure a single axis and return distance values in millimeters at high speed. The 29 mm × 29 mm modules are available in long-range (60m) or fast-data (600Hz) versions and require either a USB or I2C/UART backboard for power. The plug-and-play, eye-safe, and easy-to-use modules are ideal for drone altimeter, robotics distance sensing, proximity distance sensing and presence detection, and traffic monitoring sensing. TeraRanger Hub Evo is a compact and lightweight board that enables engineers to connect up to eight TeraRanger Evo distance sensors and stream distance data in millimeters via USB or UART interfaces, making it easy to create custom sensor arrays. TeraRanger Tower Evo is a solid-state LIDAR system with either four or eight detection zones monitored simultaneously at high-speeds. Tower Evo is available with either 60m modules or 600Hz modules.

TeraRanger One is a lightweight, high-performance distance measurement sensor based on infrared Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology. The sensor provides superfast distance readings up to 1000 times per second with an accuracy of ±4 cm and a range up to 14 m. The small size and low weight make this sensor ideal for automation, robotics and drone applications.

TeraRanger Multiflex is a modular solution with a range of up to 2 m for indoor applications such as robotics and stock level tracking. The solution includes eight plug-and-play sensor modules on one flexible bus, making it easy to create custom configurations, placing sensors where needed. An array of calibrated distances in millimeters is streamed from the Multiflex Hub, providing an ideal and higher performance alternative to ultrasound for robot collision avoidance and other shorter-range distance sensing requirements. TeraRanger Multiflex is available in two versions; Multiflex and Multiflex PCB. Multiflex has dust and splash protection covers and offers the fastest refresh rates, while Multiflex PCB has longer range, up to 2 m.
