Mouser Electronics Congratulates Winners of ElectronicsWings Project Challenge 2021

Mouser Electronics Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader empowering innovation, applauds the participants and winners of the ElectronicWings Project Challenge 2021. Mouser was the primary sponsor of the global design contest, which was organized by ElectronicWings, a leading hardware developer community that promotes ideas to make tomorrow sustainable and more efficient.

The ElectronicWings Project Challenge 2021 tasked entrants with solving problems in manufacturing, transportation and logistics, environment, agriculture, community development, and healthcare markets. The contest welcomed more than 900 participants from 35 countries, with 312 projects submitted and 175 final projects. ElectronicWings announced the winners during a special virtual awards presentation on 20 December.

“We are incredibly excited about the success of this year’s EW Project Challenge, which reached over 1 million people and drew creative, future-focused entries from hundreds of participants,” said Mark Burr-Lonnon, Mouser Senior Vice President of Global Service & EMEA and APAC Business. “Mouser applauds all the innovative designs and offers its sincere congratulations to the winners.”

Finalists were selected by members of DERBI Foundation and Mouser technology leaders, who declared the five winners:

    1. Robotic Shadow
    2. An IoT Aquarium
    3. COVID-19 Authorized Entry System Using Advanced Detection Techniques
    4. UV-Disinfection Robot
    5. Automelette – Automated Omelette Cooking Articulated Robot

Each of the winners received 10,000 INR, while participants also vied for additional prizes worth 100,000 INR from early bird entries and community votes. All the project submissions are available to view under the contest gallery in the ElectronicWings community with an open-source license, which encourages other members of the community to engage, interact, collaborate and learn.
