Mr. Anil Saboo takes over as President, IEEMA for 2020-21

Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) – the apex association of the Indian electrical equipment manufacturing industry, is pleased to announce that Mr Anil Saboo, CMD, Elektrolites (Power) Pvt. Ltd. has taken over the post of President, IEEMA for 2020-21. Mr Saboo took over coveted post during the IEEMA annual convention held on September 23, 2020 themed as ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

Talking about the priority areas to focus on in his new role as President IEEMA, he says,“It is an honor to be at the helm of affairs at IEEMA and look forward to your full support. At the present juncture, when state of economy in India and globally is not all that good, it presents to us challenges as well as opportunities to address the same.  The key goal is to make the Association relevant for its members and help the industry contribute to the collective national targets in power sector.  This will involve increased communications right from sharing strategic road map to regular updates on key activities. We will have an integrated approach with various divisions to effectively represent the industry at various Government Policy & Regulatory bodies and Standards Committees. Boost in exports and local Manufacturing will be our main aim to make our industry self-reliant and globally competitive.”

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Sunil Misra, Director General, IEEMA said, “We are glad to have Mr Saboo lead and guide the Association. His outstanding professional credentials and extensive international experience make him exceptionally well placed to provide leadership to IEEMA at this important juncture. He is very well known in the Industry for his work with Utilities & across Electrical Equipment spectrum and people management.”
