New eBook from STMicroelectronics and Mouser Explores Future of Responsive AI at the Edge

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, announces a new eBook in collaboration with STMicroelectronics (ST), exploring the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) at the edge. In Intelligence at the Edge, subject matter experts from Mouser and ST offer deep analyses of the challenges and applications for AI and ML development at the edge. The eBook features articles on topics such as intelligent sensors, embedded neural networks, and responsive AI.

AI-driven technology and devices will eventually transform the ways in which we live and work, leading to increase productivity, enhanced quality of life, and greater environmental sustainability. However, cloud AI applications demand tremendous resources in terms of power, bandwidth, and data, while also posing important questions regarding privacy and security. As AI migrates from cloud servers to the network edge, machine learning models deployed on embedded microcontrollers will facilitate a dramatic expansion in AI-backed applications and devices. The new eBook features a range of articles, infographics, and instructional videos to explain the potential use of ST products in edge-AI applications.

Intelligence at the Edge offers direct links to more than a dozen relevant solutions from ST. Featured products include the STM32U5 series of ultra-low-power microcontrollers for advanced applications, including wearable devices, industrial sensors, home automation, and personal medical devices. The microcontrollers are based on an Arm® Cortex®-M33 core and offer 2 Mbytes of flash memory and 786 Kbytes of SRAM. ST’s NanoEdge™ AI Studio allows developers to quickly create optimal AI libraries for specific projects without requiring data science skills or knowledge. The NanoEdge AI Studio helps developers to easily detect security concerns and conduct predictive maintenance.

ST solutions available from Mouser include microcontrollers, sensor kits, power management ICs, and memory devices. To learn more about ST Microelectronics, visit https://www.mouser.com/manufacturer/stmicroelectronics/.
