New Flex Servo-Drive released for direct control of electric motors

Rutronik, a leading global broad-line stocking distributor of a comprehensive range of electronic components, semiconductors, and products and technology solutions for IoT and embedded systems, has announced that TDK-Micronas’ HVC 4223F Flex Servo-Drive for direct control of electric motors.

The flex servo-drive from TDK-Micronas, a TDK group company and leading German manufacturer of magnetic Hall-effect sensors, enables cost-effective realization of powerful and compact DC motor control. Powered by a 32-bit CPU core, the HVC 4223F device integrates various high-performance analog functions to deliver high-power solutions for a wide range of applications, including automotive, industrial, consumer, instrumentation, and more.

The HVC 4223F Flex Servo-Drive features flexible peripherals, which allow the device to directly control brush-type, stepper (bipolar or three phase), or brushless direct current (BLDC) motors via integrated high-performance half-bridges without the need for external components. The latest device also contains an advanced LIN UART with a LIN 2.x transceiver, as well as voltage regulators to connect the device directly to a 5.4V to 18V automotive board net. In addition, the Flex Servo-Drive also features a 32KB flash program memory, which provides high flexibility in code development, production ramp-up, and in-system firmware update.

“The HVC 4223F Flex Servo-Drive from TDK-Micronas delivers cost-effective and high-performance solutions for powerful and compact DC motor control in a wide range of applications, such as automotive, industrial, consumer, instrumentation, and more,” said Mary Ellen Bauchman, director, Product Marketing North America at Rutronik.
