Spirent GNSS Connect 2023 Showcases Latest Simulation Systems and PNT Test and Assurance Solutions

Spirent Communications, a leading global provider of test and assurance solutions for next-generation devices and networks, demonstrated its latest global navigation satellite system (GNSS) simulation solutions and positioning, navigation and timings (PNT) testing tools at the Spirent GNSS Connect 2023, Bengaluru.  The event showcased the strategic outlook for GNSS-reliant devices and systems, risk factors affecting them and a wide array of simulation, and testing tools that deliver the precision needed to enable the next generation of PNT systems.

As the world becomes more dependent on navigation satellite signals to guide systems and machinery, any threat to signals carries a correspondingly greater risk. For manufacturers producing GNSS-reliant devices or systems, this means there’s an urgent need to keep pace with emerging threats and ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures are taken. Spirent has been working with government, automotive, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) manufacturers, and military organizations to help understand the threats to GPS and other satellite navigation systems and address them through the use of sophisticated testing and measurement.

“As we come to rely more and more on GNSS across a wide range of industries, understanding and mitigating against emerging threats is becoming a critical risk management activity for manufacturers, systems and applications providers, as well as end-users,” said Rajesh Pathak, Country Managing Director for India & SAARC at Spirent. “Our GNSS Connect 2023 Forum demonstrations this week shared valuable insights into the future of GNSS and PNT, and showcased the very latest simulation, record & playback, forecasting and enhanced realism equipment and techniques.”

With accurate, rapid and versatile test technologies, it is important to ascertain the risk factors affecting GNSS-reliant systems, benchmark performance, test its future readiness, and ensure that it is fit for deployment. Spirent’s comprehensive and flexible GNSS simulation solutions and PNT test services help assure the accuracy, integrity, continuity and reliability needed to advance test programs.
