HTC Desire 626 released in India

HTC’s recent addition to its Desire lineup is available in Blue Lagoon and White Birch color variants. Commenting on the launch of the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM, Faisal Siddiqui, President, HTC South Asia said that the smartphone delivers the distinctive features with an outstanding user experience in a sleek, chic and slim package. Siddiqui revealed that the 4G LTE-enabled device features a faster processor, network speed and excellent battery life. Moreover, the smartphone offers great flexibility with support for expandable memory, which is missing in other high-end smartphones. Featured with a 5-inch HD display, the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM comes with a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. On the photography department, the HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 28mm lens, and LED flash in addition to a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Moreover, the primary camera includes advanced features like automatic face detection, geo-tagging, best shot, smile shot, and HDR options in addition to the ability to capture images in panoramic mode. While the version of Android hasn’t been revealed yet by the company other than the information that the smartphone will have HTC Sense UI, we expect the device to run on Android Lollipop with future upgrade possibility for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Powered by a 2000mAh battery, the dual-SIM HTC Desire 626 is equipped with all major connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, DLNA, GLONASS, and FM radio connectivity in addition to sensors like accelerometer and ambient light. Measuring a thickness of 8.19mm, the Desire 626 Dual SIM weighs 135 grams, which is optimal for a 5-inch smartphone. To recall, HTC, in 2015 had launched the single-SIM version of the smartphone in China with different specifications.
