Mouser Electronics Signs Global Distribution Agreement with Basler

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, today announced a global distribution partnership with Basler, a leading global manufacturer of high-quality digital cameras and lenses. The company’s embedded vision products combine the latest chip and software developments with industrial machine-vision technology for cost-effective board-level camera systems ideal for factory automation, logistics, robotics, and the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

The Basler product line, now available from Mouser Electronics, features the company’s dart series camera modules and Embedded Vision Kits for easy evaluation and development. The Basler dart camera line has been developed to meet the requirements of a broad variety of vision applications. The small, single-board camera series features Basler’s PGI feature set. PGI offers powerful in-camera image optimization technology to enhance images at the full speed of the camera. PGI is comprised of a unique combination of 5×5 debayering, color-anti-aliasing, denoising and improved sharpness. The dart camera modules are available in Basler’s LVDS-based interface — BCON — or in the USB3 Vision standard to offer easy integration, convenient plug-and-play functionality, and stable data transfer.

Basler’s Embedded Vision Kits, also available from Mouser, provide developers with easy-to-use kits with all the components needed for hassle-free camera integration or evaluation. The dart USB Evaluation Kit includes a dart USB camera module, while the dart BCON for LVDS Development Kit includes a dart BCON camera module with a BCON for LVDS interface and a processing board based on a Xilinx Zynq system-on-chip (SoC). Both kits also come with a lens, cables, and the pylon Camera Software Suite. Additionally, development kits that feature dart camera modules are also available for Intel Programmable Solutions Group (formerly Altera) FPGAs through partners AAEON and Critical Link.
