Brand new TE Connectivity’s AmbiMate MS4 Sensor Module Development Kits released

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the AmbiMate sensor module MS4 development kits from TE Connectivity (TE), a global leader in connectivity and sensors. The development kits enable global engineering and development teams to build prototypes and evaluation boards for systems incorporating TE’s state-of-the-art AmbiMate MS4 Series sensor modules.

TE’s AmbiMate sensor module MS4 development kits, now available from Mouser Electronics, allow engineers and developers to connect up to seven smart sensors to either a Raspberry Pi or Arduino board and start collecting data within 30 minutes, using downloadable code available from TE. All of the kits include sensors for passive infrared (PIR) motion, light, temperature, and humidity, while optional additions include an integrated microphone and sensors for equivalent CO2 (eCO2) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

TE’s AmbiMate MS4 Series sensor modules and development kits enable easy integration in a variety of host products in building automation, lighting, and smart home applications where environmental data can inform product decisions. For example, engineers can use one or more modules to capture VOC and eCO2 concentrations and evaluate air quality.

TE’s AmbiMate sensor modules include an integrated microphone to augment motion detection by listening for sound events. A network of modules can detect occupancy, humidity, temperature, and light levels, allowing building controllers to adjust indoor lighting, HVAC equipment, energy management, and other zonal environmental controls to support sustainability efforts.
