    Stocking the all new AI Vision X developer kit, ideal for computer vision applications

    Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader empowering innovation, is now stocking the AAEON UP Squared AI Vision X Developer Kit. The powerful kit is available with Intel Movidius Myriad X technology and includes the OpenVINO toolkit for hardware acceleration of deep learning inference for computer vision applications.

    The AAEON UP Squared AI Vision X Developer Kit, available from Mouser Electronics, contains a VESA-mountable UP Squared edge computer, 1920 x 1080p EverFocus USB camera, and OpenVINO toolkit R5. The UP Squared computer is based on an Intel Atom X7-E3950 processor and includes an Ubuntu image, 8 GBytes of memory, and 64 GBytes eMMC.

    The kit is available with the AAEON UP AI Core X, the first mPCIe module to feature the Intel Movidius Myriad X vision processing unit (VPU). The low-power, high-performance Myriad X VPU is capable of a wide range of AI applications, from controlling drones to performing industrial inspections. The VPU can process speeds up to 105 fps (80 typical) and one trillion operations per second as a dedicated neural network accelerator. The Myriad X VPU is compatible with the OpenVINO toolkit, making it easy to setup and run AI inference software.
