FPD-Link III Serializer for Automotive Camera and ADAS Applications released

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the DS90UB935-Q1 serializer from Texas Instruments (TI). The automotive-rated serializer is part of TI’s FPD-Link III family, designed to support high-speed, space-constrained raw data sensors in cameras, satellite radar, LIDAR, and time-of-flight (ToF) applications.

The TI DS90UB935-Q1 serializer, available from Mouser Electronics, provides a high-speed forward channel and an ultra-low-latency bidirectional control channel, plus support for power over a single coax or shielded twisted pair (STP) cable. The serializer is compliant with the MIPI CSI-2 interface for video data, offering a bandwidth over 2.5 Gbits per second. The device supports autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) through advanced diagnostic and data-protection features, including CRC data protection, sensor data integrity check, I2C write protection, voltage and temperature measurement, programmable alarm, and line fault detection.

The DS90UB935-Q1 serializer features a wide operating temperature range of negative 40 to 105 degrees Celsius and is available in a compact 5 mm × 5 mm VQFN package. When combined with a companion deserializer such as the TI DS90UB936-Q1, the DS90UB935-Q1 delivers precise multi-camera sensor clock and sensor synchronization. The DS90UB935-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications and include HBM ESD Classification Level 3A and CDM ESD Classification Level C6.
