PM Modi’s clarion call for industry and investors: Invest in Infrastructure Development

PM Modi’s clarion call for industry and investors: Invest in Infrastructure Development. TEMA welcomes the bold initiatives announced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his 74th Independence Day speech from the ramparts of Red Fort, which we will take a step closer to a Digital India, connecting every individual. India, in the last seven decades, has achieved tremendous success in agriculture, industry, manufacturing, education, health and importantly in infrastructure and many other areas.
PM’s vision to build a National Infrastructure Pipeline Project will play an essential role in this endeavor. He announced Rs 110 lakh crore would be spent on this project. For this, about 7,000 projects have been identified in different sectors. His push for connecting over six lakhs villages with optical fibre within 1000 days will boost employment generation and open up new opportunities.
“TEMA views today’s announcements as a signal from PM for the industry to enhance its participation in the development of National Infrastructure. As an industry, we are bullish about the thrust given to promoting domestic industry to make India’ Atmanirbhar.’ We have only scratched the surface of the potential in developing infrastructure. Support in terms of reduced levies to the local manufacturers and special provisions to up skill the talent that has come back to the country during COVID should be taken up on priority, “
