RECOM introduces Railway certified 20W DC/DC convertor with 4:1 input

Electronics Products News

20W DC/DC converter, the RP20-FR series, is especially designed for railway applications; it is also a reliable choice for industrial and telecommunication applications

The compact 2”x1” modules feature a wide 4:1 input voltage range (9-36V, 18-75V, 43-160V) and therefore cover all standard battery-board levels including the ±40% tolerance margin. Besides 3.3V, 5V, 12V and 15V single outputs, dual ±12V and ±15V outputs are also available. The control pin logic can be chosen to be positive or negative.

The converters have an efficiency of up to 89% and feature a wide Tx operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (-HC versions). Cooling is achieved by natural convection, but if required, the modules are also available with a pre-mounted heatsink.

The modules are EN50155 certified with EN50121-1-3-2, EN61373 and UL/cUL-60950-1 approvals. They come with RECOM´s standard 3 year warranty. Samples are available from all of RECOM´s global distributors.
