Vayo Presents New Webinar: PCBA DFM/DFX know-how digitalization based on 3D solutions

Vayo Technology Co., Ltd., a leading provider of DFM/NPI solutions, has announced a new webinar that will take place on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 10 a.m. PST. The webinar will focus on PCBA DFM/DFX know-how digitalization based on 3D solutions and will cover how Vayo’s DFM/DFA solution can help improve PCB design, fabrication, and assembly processes.

An excellent PCBA DFM/DFX solution should have two prerequisites:

    • Analyzes PCB design/fabrication/assembly risks and represents them effectively.
    • Allows you to convert the supplier standard checks to your own digitalized know-how knowledgebase.

The webinar will be led by technical experts from Vayo Technology, who will provide attendees with valuable insights into how to better represent DFM/DFX risks with the company’s 3D solution. The webinar also will cover how to convert supplier standard checks into a digitalized know-how knowledgebase to help predict PCB design/fabrication/assembly risks like design omissions, prototyping assembly difficulties, mass production issues and product reliability risks, and eventually highlight risks in virtualized PCBA view, and generate 3D result reports.

During the webinar, attendees will learn how Vayo’s 3D solution can help with better DFM/DFX risks representation. This includes using the company’s 3D part package library to reform pin shape, importing complicated packages like shields from step data, simulating finished assembly PCBA, and interactively querying result in 2D & 3D PCBA view. Attendees also will learn about Vayo’s 3D result report.

Additionally, the webinar will cover how to create your own digitalized know-how library. This includes using Vayo’s more than 1,500 checking rules and flexible fine-tune function, creating new rules easily and adding more than 50 checking rules per year.

The webinar is designed for anyone interested in improving their PCBA DFM/DFX processes, including DFM/NPI/process engineers and layout designers from quick turn prototyping CEMs, global EMS/ODMs, and OEMs. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and ask questions during the Q&A session.

Customer feedback on Vayo’s 3D DFA/DFM capability has been overwhelmingly positive, with Atar Mittal, General Manager from Sierra Circuits, saying, “Vayo’s tool has been extremely useful for us in identifying assembly issues before the actual assembly process. This has drastically reduced holdups in the production line, increasing our productivity.” And Mukesh Vasani, CEO from Aimtron Corporation, saying, “It does a great job identifying assembly issues that can easily be captured in 3D DFA/DFM reports.”
