    Virtual Forest to partner as Infineon’s preferred design house in India

    Virtual Forest, an Indian start up that specializes in designing and building unique, purpose built motor control drives, partners with Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific, a world leader in semiconductor solutions as the latter’s preferred design house in the country for large and small home appliances. This means Virtual Forest, along with Infineon, will work on leading edge technologies for developing energy efficient home appliances for the global market.

    Informs Omer Basith, founding director and CEO of Virtual Forest, that Virtual Forest is set to become one of the lead companies in India to develop and produce inverter Air Conditioner solutions using Infineon high performance IPM (intelligent power module – CIPOS TM  Mini ), iMOTION Product family and other products. This will improve energy efficiency, reliability and cost of Virtual Forest’s Inverter Air conditioner solution and solutions for other Major home appliances.  “Our preferred design house agreement with Infineon affords us the opportunity to work with future technologies and deploy cutting edge solutions not only in the Indian market, but regional and global markets as well”.

    A report by market intelligence firm Research and Markets forecasts the global market for energy efficient devices to reach $908.4 billion by 2022. In addition, an increase in drafting and implementation of regulation to reduce carbon emissions by improving energy efficiency to avoid the burning of fossil fuels to meet energy demands is expected to drive the global energy efficient devices market,

    Research and Markets also predicts an increase in purchases of smart meter, HVAC and lighting systems through to 2022 and that the residential sector is expected to dominate the market between 2016 and 2022.  The Asia-Pacific region is expected to record the highest growth rate as a result of an increase in deployment of smart cities and smart energy programmes. All of these augur a robust market for the systems for energy efficient motors that Virtual Forest will design based on Infineon technology platforms.
