Industry’s first connector e-guide allows engineers to review and select relevant interconnect products

element14, the Development Distributor, has launched the industry’s first Connector e-Guide: a comprehensive online reference tool showcasing connectors from more than 30 of the industry’s most trusted brands. The new Connector e-Guide allows engineers to easily review and select relevant interconnect products from element14’s extensive connector catalogue by sight or by part number.

The e-Guide uses large visuals to clearly display and categorize connectors in a single online hub, making it an invaluable tool for engineers who may need to find and replace an application’s damaged connector without knowing the part number to identify it. In addition, the e-Guide’s intuitive interface displays associated products and accessories, such as cable and wire, crimp tools and other installation aids. This key feature saves time by reducing the need to research supporting products so engineers can easily select the most suitable connectivity solution for their designs.

Product categories covered by element14’s Connector e-Guide include:

    • PCB connectors
    • High-speed I/O devices
    • Circular connectors
    • Terminal blocks and terminals
    • Plug and socket connectors
    • RF and coaxial types
    • Power connectors
    • Audio and video products
    • USB connectors
    • Automotive
    • Heavy-duty and industrial connectors
    • D-subminiature ranges
    • Sensor, fibre-optic and modular (Ethernet) connectors

All products featured on the Connector e-Guide are backed by element14’s unique product support features, including full reel packaging availability, local 24/5 technical support, easy and secure online ordering and same-day shipping.

“We are aiming to deliver a truly customer-centric approach in our Connector e-Guide, recognising the challenges engineers face and helping them make important buying decisions, faster,” says Cliff Ortmeyer, Global Head of Technical Marketing for Farnell and element14.  “The e-Guide’s intuitive and user-friendly interface showcases the breadth of our product portfolio and groups related products together.  Customers can benefit from the unparalleled level of support that element14 provides from initial design concept through to large scale production.”
