New OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT solution for Protection Against Counterfeit Devices

Infineon Technologies AG launches the OPTIGA™ Authenticate IDoT anti-counterfeit turnkey solution which combines enhanced authentication with unprecedented levels of configuration flexibility. OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT is the industry’s leading embedded security solution that delivers enhanced hardware ECC-based security and outstanding flexibility to address customer and application requirements.

With an extended temperature range of -40° to +120 °C, the solution is ideal for industrial applications and supports the ever-growing and ubiquitous requirements for authentication. Use cases include single-use disposables for HVAC and water filters, rechargeable batteries for portable devices, light electric vehicles as well as computing and robotic systems in highly complex eMobility, industrial and IoT environments.

OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT is packaged in the proven and robust TSNP SMD housing measuring as little as 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.38 mm 3. It supports four ECC authentication modes: one-way, mutual, host binding and host support. Designers can select from three temperature ranges, two communication profiles, three sets of memory and four integrated secured decremental counters with secured lifecycle management, capless LDO and robust ESD protection. Furthermore, OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT provides unique on-chip turnkey digital certificates and key pairs.

Evaluation and development kits are provided to simplify the integration of the security solutions along with full SDK, the host code library and a C-base Application Programming Interface (API) to offer a strong platform for easy application testing. These tools are based on the latest PSoC6 BLE prototyping kit with full programmer and debugger, BLE and Wi-Fi capabilities.

Availability
OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT comes in a proven and robust package optimized for size-restricted devices and applications. Samples are available now. The security solutions will be on display at Infineon’s Embedded Solutions Conference.
