Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, has entered into a partnership to manufacture Nokia smartphones in India for HMD Global.

This partnership will carry forward their vision and stringent industry-leading processes, combined with the expertise in manufacturing. Padget Electronics is one of the five Indian companies which have been approved to receive incentives for incremental production of mobile phone handsets under the Centre’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. It is reported that Dixon has invested Rs 75 crore for setting up its 11th manufacturing plant in Noida, which would be its third dedicated factory for assembling mobile handsets.
